baby room

The first 2 yrs of a child’s life are critical for the development of the brain and language. During this period a child’s life experience plays a fundamental role in the ‘hard-wiring’ of the brain, laying down the foundations for the development of intellect and emotion to follow.
From birth, babies are busy, active learners, who immediately investigate the sights, sounds, and feel of the world. Babies explore the world using their 5 senses when developing their motor skills. Babies bodies learn to navigate the up and down, over and under of the physical world. We provide babies with what they need: a safe environment which is rich with opportunities to actively explore through books, songs, sensory activities and a lot of listening and responding to their vocalisations and words through communication both verbally and using body language/facial expressions.
Our staff have both knowledge and experience of working with babies and provide them with a warm and caring environment where the children and parents feel relaxed and welcomed and foster s sense of belonging. They support the individual efforts and independence of every child. We provide a wide variety of equipment to suit the needs of all children. Examples of the relevant and stimulating activities we provide in our baby room:
- Messy play
- Physical play including, tents, tunnel, parachute, climbing equipment...
- Group activities
- Sensory play sessions
- Regular walks in the local environment and parks

Toddler Room

Our toddler room is bright and spacious and is designed to encourage your child’s confidence, independence and increasing mobility.
Throughout the nursery day the children are provided with a variety of activities including painting, chalking, cutting, sticking, construction, water/sand and role play. In the toddler room we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) which recognises the importance of development and learning at this stage. The nursery day becomes more structured with the emphasis on language, learning through play, the acquisition of life and social skills and interaction with others.

Pre-school Room

Our pre-school room is designed to encourage and support all areas of learning and play. The room layout, play areas, resources and activities ensure that children have continuous access to whatever they need to support and extend their learning experience.
Children will also enjoy early reading and maths tasks, mark making, construction, baking, ICT, exercise and dance. The children gain confidence from a daily routine which fully supports the Early Years Foundation Stage, while the opportunities for free choice encourages independence as well as giving them an awareness of time. It also helps to prepare the children for that important transition to school. The individual needs of each child are planned on a weekly basis by our qualified practitioners to help the child progress in their seven areas of learning.

Sensory Room

Sensory soft play is very popular with children. It provides a safe and fun environment for them to explore and develop their skills. It allows young children to interact and develop essential life skills.
Sensory soft play refers to activities that stimulate a child's senses, including their sense of balance and awareness of their own body and surroundings. There are many benefits of sensory soft play for children, from improving their physical abilities to the way they communicate with others.
Soft play encourages motor development. Children can work on stepping, climbing, crawling, jumping and rolling without fear of injury. Having an open space with good sensory lighting can provide the sensory motor diet needed to move and learn.
By providing children with the opportunity to use the sensory soft play the can extend their Personal, Social, Emotional, Physical and Creative development. This also allows them to explore the environment and extend their language skills.
Security is another advantage of soft play for kids. When in a safe, sensory space, children can feel more secure within themselves. This can encourage movements and interactions which ordinarily might prove to be a challenge. As they become more confident, these skills can be transferred into the outside world.
